We're Back!

We have taken too long of a break from writing!  I want to give everyone a little update about PPP and then I want to encourage you to write to us with your story.  This blog doesn't work without your beautiful, inspiring, and motivating writings.  So pick up a pen or get your computer ready and write your story or the story of someone who inspires you...

Recently we have been preparing for a big change.  A good change.  One that will positively impact our business.  I will be moving back home to Southern California in the next couple of months.  My sister Chandra and I will be able to work together in the same place and really get PPP running the way it should be.  We are excited and looking forward to the long days and nights ahead of us as we work to make this successful!  We want to work with as many girls as we possibly can and we want to make the Proud&Pretty family grow and keep growing!  We love what we do and it will only get better when we are in the same place and on the same page.

In August, we had our very first "Kick Off to College" event... We had 24 girls there to learn about very important information regarding everything college.  From admissions to campus social life.  We are blessed to have women involved with PPP who have lived the college life in different ways and were there to offer advise and answer questions.  The day was a success and this will be an event that we host at the beginning of August every year.

Last Friday, Chandra, Jessica Turner, and 6 Proud&Pretty girls completed the PPP merchandise shoot.  We will have beautiful pictures of all our wonderful merchandise up on our website and Facebook page within the next week or so. (Special Thanks to JT!) Wrap Yourself in Proud & Pretty in Pink! ;)

We have a few things coming up and we want all of you involved.  We are having a CakePopps&Convos Party on Sunday October, 14th at 1pm in Fontana, Ca.  We will be discussing the controversial political stances towards women's rights in the upcoming Presidential Election.  We think it is incredibly important for women to be educated about the election and VOTE!  Whatever your political stances, we want to share the day discussing us.

We will be starting monthly women's focus groups to talk about self-esteem and body image in the adult female.  We are so excited to get together and discuss these very important topics because most of us struggle with these issues well into adult hood.  Stay tuned for more info.

In December we will be having our 2nd annual "Holiday in Pink" charity event!  Once again we will be raising money for the amazing V-Day who works to end violence against women and girls.  We have been blessed to work with the incredible people at Raquel's Jazz Lounge in Rialto Ca in order to make this event one to remember!  All details will be released soon and we can't wait for another great event!

That's what's going on with us... Now we want to hear from you!  Send us your writings so we can continue to build a blog comprised of your stories, poems, advice, and opinions.  Send them to writings@proudandprettyinpink.com.
WE WANT TO HEAR ALL ABOUT IT!

xoxo,
Chelsie :)
